Check engine lights will stay on while your vehicle is running if there is an active engine misfire, or if emissions standards have exceeded the acceptable limitation. A Fault code will store when such events occur.

BB Automotive is equipped with modern scan tool equipment to communicate with many makes and models. When fault codes are being diagnosed, it is common for other pieces of equipment to be utilized to complete the tasks at hand.

Such equipment that may be used for diagnostics for example are:

- Smoke machine to detect vacuum leaks and EVAP Faults

- Compression gauges, vacuum and leak down gauges for testing engine health

- Oscilliscope to monitor and graph sensor wave forms and patterns

- volt meters and amperage meters to check voltages on affected circuits

- video scopes to monitor areas of engine that would otherwise not be visible 

- And so much more

 

BB Automotive is an Independent Automotive Repair Facility and We work on multiple Makes and Models of vehicles. With this being said, We may not be able to repair or correct every fault code that can occur for your vehicle. Some repairs require special equipment, hardware/software or module programming and we may not have everything available to perform such tasks. If this event ever occurs we can provide as much insight as possible and refer you to a location equipped for the task.
